Radiation Therapy Part-Time Faculty / Clinical Coordinator
Job Description
This position has been created in response to the phased retirement of a full-time faculty member in the Radiation Therapy program. The selected part-time faculty member will be mentored to assume both teaching and administrative responsibilities within the program.
Per the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accreditation requirements, the Clinical Coordinator (CC) must fulfill a full-time equivalent role. This position will represent 50% of the total teaching and administrative duties (~12 WLUs) currently held by the faculty member entering phased retirement. In compliance with JRCERT policy, the Clinical Coordinator role may be shared by up to four individuals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must hold current ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy RT(T)
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in radiation therapy is strongly preferred
- Prior teaching or preceptorship experience is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills
Role and Responsibilities
Fall 2025 Semester
Teaching Duties (with mentorship and support from senior faculty):
- Lead instruction in Emerging Technology
- Audit Treatment Technique Course and Lab to prepare for future instruction
Clinical Coordinator Responsibilities (with assistance from Sherry):
- Arrange clinical schedules for students
- Verify and track clinical documentation in eValue
- Organize and coordinate student clinical onboarding
- Attend Radiation Therapy Advisory Committee meetings
- Participate in new student program orientation
- Provide student mentorship
- Develop Spring and Summer site visit schedules
- Assist in scheduling clinical observations as needed
Spring 2026 Semester
Teaching Duties:
- Assist in coordination and oversight of the Clinical Practicum course
Clinical Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain student clinical rosters in eValue
- Assist with student onboarding processes
- Attend the Radiation Therapy Advisory Committee meeting
- Participate in senior student orientation for the Fall semester
- Mentor and support students throughout their clinical experience
- Assist in Capstone case study presentation preparations
- Attend and participate in clinical site visits
- Schedule and guide students in the clinical onboarding process
- Provide clinical onboarding documentation when requested
