Job Description:
Provides a safe and secure environment by providing security services at facility points of entry. Being a point of contact to direct and enhance security response measures representing the organization in a professional manner.
Principle Responsibilities
- Collaborates with security and site leadership to promote a safe and secure environment
- Responds, controls, and reports security concerns or vulnerabilities at points of entry.
- Acts and intervenes per procedure and protocols to mitigate situations to reduce injury, prevent property damage or loss.
- Provides physical security for points of entry and directs security services to mitigate threat of safe facility operations.
- Provides support for medical intervention needs and requests response support as requested.
- Partners with internal customers to identify risk and safety concerns.
- Participates in department roll calls, and meetings as required.
- Maintains and properly operates equipment to include computers, radio, and other tools to support job responsibilities.
- Assists patients, visitors and staff as position requirements dictate.
- Monitors the safety and security of the physical environment
- Enforces non-compliance related to administrative policies such as smoking and regulatory violations or concerns related to safety and security.
- Identifies, evaluates, and escalates threats and risks to ensure the safety and security of people and property.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year in security, emergency services, criminal justice, health care or relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years post-secondary education in or currently enrolled in a security, law enforcement, or criminal justice undergraduate degree program. If not completed, must have additional years of experience in security, law enforcement, military police, or related field.
Licenses/Certifications
- Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
◦ BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
◦ BLS certification from the American Red Cross within 60 days of hire
◦ Allina in-house BLS training within 60 days of hire - Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment
- OSHA First Responder preferred
- Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) preferred
Physical Demands
- Light Work:
- Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently
Pay Range
Pay Range: $25.50 to $34.94 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.Benefit Summary
